Liberty Safes began their humble operation building six safes a day from rented out storage units back in 1988. Today Liberty Safe and Security Products has a 23-acre, 205,000 square foot production and distribution center in Payson, Utah manufacturing up to 250 safes a day.
They have a pretty extensive line, primarily made up gun safes, but they also manufacture home safes, floor safes, commercial safes, vault doors, and quite a few safe accessories, including pistol racks, dehumidifiers, jewelry drawers, lighting, etc. They also give you the option of choosing the hardware, finish, and fabric on their higher-end models, giving you the opportunity to customize and stylize your safe to how you like the most.
What They Bring to the Table
They've built their brand with a heavy focus on security. To ensure that that their products live up to their claims they have Underwriters Laboratory (UL), an independent safety certification and compliance agency, try to crack their safes by prying, drilling, punching, chiseling, and tampering the lock, handle, mechanism, and body. Once their safes have passed the stringent testing, they receive UL's Residential Security Container (RSC) Certification.
This allows Liberty Safes to offer a lifetime warranty, and they will repair or replace your safe for free if it ever experiences an attempted break-in or fire, completely free of charge. The lifetime warranty includes free shipping and installation of the replacement safe, free parts and labor with in-home service, and the warranty is even transferable if you ever decide to sell your safe. In addition, there is also a 5-year workmanship guarantee for paint and locks. This is a very good warranty indeed.
Another interesting practice that Liberty has taken upon themselves is to eliminate 95% of all environmental hazards associated with the safe manufacturing process; making Liberty safes one of the "greenest" safes on the market today.
